===ARYNTIUS UPDATE 2.4.0===

This is a large content update that introduces 2 entire new rifts, numerous new items, and some major reworks.

===NEW ADDITIONS===
  • Added two new rifts: The Desert of Despair and the Swamp of Suffering, each with their own unique enemies, bosses, and legendary items.
  • Added dozens of new items, especially the Corrupted tier.
===NEW ITEMS + ITEM CHANGES===

We have done some major overhauls to drop tables and heavily reworked some older items in conjunction with the release of over 20 new items. A list of balance changes, drop table changes, and new items can be found below under the spoiler tag:
===LIST OF NEW UNIQUE ITEMS===

Terrormaw (Legendary)
Weapon (Melee - Axe)
  • Sharpness M
  • +95% attack speed.
  • Deals 1000.0-1500.0 damage to Bleeding enemies.
  • Restore 50% of your maximum health when you hit an enemy.

Wraithbane (Legendary)
Weapon (Melee - Sword)
  • Sharpness D
  • +75% attack speed.
  • 20% chance to chain attacks.
  • 300% increased weapon range.
  • Deals 15.0 extra Chaos damage for every 50 levels of Strength.
    (Up to 60.0 Chaos damage from 200 Strength).

Dreadsinew (Legendary)
Weapon (Ranged - Bow)
  • Power D
  • Damage: 125.0 x16
  • Cooldown: None
  • 35% critical strike chance.
  • 9.0x critical hit multiplier.
  • 50% chance to inflict 600.0 Bleed damage over a period of 1.5 seconds.

Last Breath (Legendary)
Weapon (Ranged - Shotgun)
  • Ammo: Gold Nugget
  • Fire Rate: Average
  • Damage: 80.0 x18
  • Fired projectiles move at extremely slow speeds.
  • Shots deal 25% more damage for every second in air.

Laceration (Legendary)
Weapon (Magic - Channeled)
  • Cast Speed: Very Fast
  • Damage: 90.0 x5
  • Sneaking increases spread.
  • Deals 250.0-400.0 damage to Bleeding enemies.
  • Restores 15% of your maximum health when you hit an enemy.

Desecrate (Legendary)
Weapon (Magic - Casted)
  • Cast Speed: Average
  • Charge Speed: Very Fast
  • Damage: 40.0
  • Summons exploding corpses when you hit an enemy.
  • Corpses deal 100.0-250.0 Chaos damage and cannot gain bonuses from armor or accessories.
  • Explosions have a radius of 5 blocks.
  • Corpses cannot be summoned more than 10 blocks away from you.

Gravemind (Legendary)
Armor (Helmet)
  • Protection XX
  • +40% movement speed.
  • Adds 25.0 Chaos damage to all attacks for every 20.0 gold hearts.
    (Up to 125.0 Chaos damage from 100.0 gold hearts).
  • You and all players within 20 blocks gain Haste X for 10.0 seconds when you hit an enemy.

Instrumentality (Legendary)
Armor (Chestplate)
  • Projectile Protection XX
  • +20.0 maximum health.
  • Adds 40.0-80.0 Chaos damage to all melee attacks.
  • Adds 15.0-30.0 Chaos damage to all ranged/magic attacks.
  • Damage from this item is tripled while you have Strength.

Cloak of Savagery (Legendary)
Armor (Leggings)
  • Protection XX
  • +20.0 maximum health.
  • Your attacks inflict 100.0 Bleed damage over a period of 3.0 seconds.
  • Damage inflicted by this item affects all enemies within a radius of 5 blocks.

Death's Dance (Legendary)
Armor (Boots)
  • Depth Strider X, Feather Falling X
  • +20.0 maximum health.
  • Restore 10% of your maximum health when you hit an enemy.
  • Adds 30.0-50.0 Chaos damage to all attacks against Bleeding enemies.

    • Adds 1500.0-2500.0 damage to all melee attacks.

Ethereal Aegis (Iridescent)
Accessory (Shield)
  • While equipped in Off Hand:
    • You have 20.0 gold hearts for every 40 levels of Strength.
    • 25% chance to refresh your gold hearts when you attack.

Spinegrip (Iridescent)

  • Power D
  • Damage: 150.0 x10
  • Cooldown: None
  • Fires 2 volleys during ability (10 x 2 total shots)
  • 50% chance to Curse enemies on hit.
  • Deals 1250.0-2000.0 extra damage to enemies that have Weakness.

Blind Justice (Corrupted)
Armor (Helmet)
  • No Enchantments
  • +10.0 maximum health.
  • Adds 750.0 Chaos damage to your next melee attack once every 2.0 seconds.
  • You have Blindness. (Refreshes every second).

The Ravager (Corrupted)
Armor (Helmet)
  • Protection XX
  • +10.0 maximum health.
  • You have Haste X and Speed X. (Refreshes every second).
  • Take 1000.0 damage every time you attack an enemy.

The Gryphon (Corrupted)
Armor (Chestplate)
  • Projectile Protection XX
  • +20.0 maximum health.
  • Adds 2000.0-3000.0 damage to all melee attacks.
  • Take 1000.0 damage every time you hit an enemy with a ranged/magic attack.

The Chimera (Corrupted)

  • Protection XX
  • Adds 500.0-1000.0 damage to all ranged/magic attacks.
  • 10% chance to refresh your gold hearts when you attack.
  • Take 1000.0 damage every time you hit an enemy with a melee attack.

Eye of the Eldritch (Corrupted)
Accessory (Off Hand)
  • Adds 100.0-150.0 Chaos damage to all ranged/magic attacks.
  • 50% chance to refresh your gold hearts when you take damage.
  • You cannot have Regeneration.
  • You cannot have Strength.

Death's Hand (Corrupted)
Accessory (Off Hand)
  • Adds 1500.0-2500.0 damage to all melee attacks.
  • Adds 50000.0 damage to next melee attack once every 2.0 seconds.
  • You cannot have Regeneration.
  • You cannot have gold hearts.

Thunderclap (Mythic)
Weapon (Ranged - Bow)
  • Power D
  • Damage: 500.0 x8
  • Cooldown: None
  • Fires 3 volleys during ability (3 x 8 total shots).
  • 15% chance to Shock enemies on hit.
  • Deals 500.0-1500.0 extra damage to Shocked enemies.

Conquest (Mythic)

  • Damage: 120.0 x18
  • Cooldown: None
  • Deals 250.0-1000.0 extra damage to enemies affected by Weakness.
  • Deals 250.0-1000.0 extra damage while you are affected by Strength.

Brasshead (Mythic)
Armor (Helmet)
  • Protection XX
  • -15% movement speed.
  • +20.0 maximum health.
  • Restore 10% of your maximum health when you hit an enemy.

Cloud Regalia (Mythic)
Armor (Chestplate)
  • Protection XX
  • +10.0 maximum health.
  • 10% chance to inflict Shock for up to 5.0 seconds.
  • Adds 100.0-250.0 damage to all attacks against Shocked enemies.

===LIST OF DROP TABLE CHANGES===

We have pruned the drop tables of older items that no longer fit well into Aryntius, including some that have not been altered since update 1.1.7. (Yikes!) The following items have been retired from the drop tables and will no longer be obtainable:

  • The Grenadier (Iridescent)
  • The Spectral Hunter (Corrupted)
  • Lucent Shadow (Corrupted)
  • Radiant Silhouette (Corrupted)
  • Twilight Flare (Corrupted)
  • Umbral Brilliance (Corrupted)
  • Life's Bane (Corrupted)
  • Possessed Doll (Corrupted)
  • Bowl of Blood (Corrupted)
  • Fleur De La Mort (Corrupted)
All legacy versions will continue to function, as usual with any drop table rotation.

===BALANCE CHANGES + REWORKS===

Holy Visage (Iridescent)
  • Enchantment level increased to 20 (from 10).
  • Original heal skill has been removed.
  • Now restores 25% of your maximum health when you attack an enemy.
  • Now restores 15% of your maximum health when you take damage.
Comments: Holy Visage has never seen usage due to its poor skill. We have given it a hefty rework that should hopefully make it see some use. These changes affect all versions of the item.

Thunderwing (Corrupted)
  • Added physical damage reduced to 250.0-400.0 (from 1000.0-1500.0).
  • Chance to inflict Shock increased to 25% (from 20%).
  • Now adds 350.0-500.0 physical damage to attacks against Shocked enemies.
  • Shock and added shock damage now apply to both melee and ranged/magic attacks.
Comments: Thunderwing was extremely overtuned on release. We have reduced its overall damage output while also increasing its versatility to compensate. These changes affect all versions of the item.

Dream Saber (Ascended)
  • Attack speed increased to 100% (from 75%).
  • No longer inflicts Curse on hit.
  • Now inflicts Shock, Freeze, and Ignite on hit.
  • Chaos damage increased to 250.0 (from 120.0).
The Shattered Dream (Legendary)
  • Chaos damage increased to 80.0 (from 40.0).
Comments: Dream Saber and its counterpart, The Shattered Dream have been slowly falling out of favor due to how they lack scaling. We have given both of them sizable buffs so they retain their dominance in the endgame. These changes affect all versions of the items.

Sandstrider (Legendary)
  • Now grants immunity to being Slowed, Chilled, or Frozen.
Tsunami (Mythic)
  • Maximum charges increased to 16 ( from 8 ).
Undying Cuirass (Mythic)
  • No longer restores 6.0 health when you take damage.
  • Now restores 10% of your maximum health when you take damage.
Comments: Undying Cuirass has been in a bad position ever since 2.2.0 was released. We have finally given it the buff it deserves. These changes affects all versions of the item.
===BALANCE CHANGES===
  • Shadewalkers in the Titans' Realm no longer inflict Wither when they deal melee damage.
  • Corrupted monsters now have 50% increased projectile speed.
  • Reduced the bleed damage from Maugri's triple attack to 30.0 (from 60.0).
  • Reduced the radius of Maugri's bleed nova by 15%.
  • Sahuvar the Deceiver:
    • Slowed down teleport slams by 50%.
    • Added 2 new attacks to his second phase.
    • Second phase will no longer deal Bleed damage.
===OTHER CHANGES===
  • Dummies now have 100,000 HP (up from 10,000).
  • Increased the visibility of certain attacks (e.g. teleport slams, summons).
  • Rewrote some item descriptions pertaining to damage immunity (E.g. The Fortress, Guardian's Platemail).
  • Reduced the number of lingering particles created by monsters in the Valley of Venom.
  • Reduced the number of lingering particles created by corrupted monsters.
  • Reduced the ticks per hit for Shock-based bosses such as Petrus and The Nameless Titan. (This should prevent chain-killing players when they respawn).
  • Removed the April Fools' event and returned the world to normal.
  • Disabled the Nicked Blade due to some conflicts with the ban system.
===BUG FIXES===
  • Fixed all Mythic leggings not properly giving maximum health.
  • Fixed some Titans not immediately attacking the player.
  • Fixed major despawning issues on numerous bosses.
  • Fixed Living Magma spawning with random slime sizes.
  • Fixed double plants displaying incorrectly for 1.13.X clients.
