Legacy Content Update 3.0.0 - The Omniplex

Status
Not open for further replies.
Welcome to the Omniplex!

It's been a while since the last update, and for good reason. We have spent the last half a year or so meticulously crafting a massive content update along with numerous new systems changes. The server is almost unrecognizable from its original form, barring older dungeons and items. Much more time was spent during the planning period than normal in order to bring everything to fruition. Our goal was to create an update that truly challenged endgame players and smoothed out the experience of progression for newer players simultaneously. We'll let you be the judge of whether we succeeded. Along with this, there were a myriad of tech changes in this update. And while Aryntius Legacy still runs on an older version of Minecraft (1.12.2), we have modernized the vast majority of its backend plugin installations and APIs to finally free it from its dreadful mid-2017 chains.

NEW CONTENT

The prime focus of this content update is the Omniplex: a new system of challenges and dungeons for endgame players that have slain Izenryl. Players with Deity or higher can talk to Ardo in Vyrdano (located in the old Reliquary building) to enter. The Omniplex can also be accessed through the Fast Travel and Dungeon menus.
This system contains 10 total zones separated into 2 layers of increasing difficulty:
  • Outer Ring - 6
    • This set of zones is entirely new content, containing mostly mob swarms and a few dungeons. Endgame drops are plentiful but so are enemies.
    • These zones may also contain dangerous modifiers, such as "Players cannot have Resistance" and "Enemies regenerate 20% of their maximum health per second". Thus, players may need to adapt their loadouts for different zones!
  • Inner Ring - 4
    • This set of zones is mostly older content restructured into challenges. The Gourd Lord and April Fool fights are now permanent and accessible here.
    • Among these is the Titan's Trial, a special encounter where you can fight all 7 original Titans simultaneously for a handsome reward.
To match the challenge of the new content, we have introduced powerful item rewards in the form of the new Eternal tier items. These items vary wildly with their given stats and can fit into nearly any character build/loadout, making them the perfect chase items for endgame players. In addition, to help acquire these powerful new items, we have introduced 3 new currency items. These are shown below:
  • Nova Fragment - 64x Star Fragments | Can be found as rare drops from new enemies and common drops from new bosses.
  • Shard of Space - 64x Nova Fragments | Can be found as extremely rare drops from new enemies and rare drops from new bosses.
  • Cosmic Convergence - 64x Shards of Space | Cannot drop. Must be crafted using the previous currencies.
Various other additions are listed below:
  • Added the new Runes system, a secondary type of currency acquired through voting. Though we will add more ways of obtaining them in the future.
  • Added the new Runes shop, which is detailed in the Major Changes section.
  • Added the new Codex menu, which can be accessed using /codex.
The /codex command opens a GUI that shows the following:
    • List of Item Tiers
    • Item Keywords (Such as status effects, damage types, triggerable skills, etc.)
    • Location Info (Such as towns, dungeons, etc.)
    • List of Bosses
    • Currency Types

We have added a gargantuan amount of other new items such as 20 new Unique items, 13 new Iridescent items, 19 new Corrupted items, and 12 new Mythic items. They are listed below:

MAJOR CHANGES

The rank system has been reworked greatly to match the dungeon and item progression. All obtainable ranks are shown below:
  • Wanderer - New players
  • Settler - Completion of Paleon questline or 15,000 Sigmas
  • Citizen - 125,000 Sigmas
  • Noble - 750,000 Sigmas
  • Archon - 1,500,000 Sigmas
  • Legend - 6,000,000 Sigmas
  • Oracle - 12,500,000 Sigmas + 2,000 Runes
  • Deity - 80,000,000 Sigmas + 10,000 Runes
  • Elder - 400,000,000 Sigmas + 50,000 Runes
We have also reworked nearly every major GUI on the server to make Aryntius a more modernized, sleek experience on par with bigger servers.
Some notable reworks are listed below:
  • The entire Survival Shop
  • Ranks Menu
  • Fast Travel GUI
  • Dungeon Travel GUI
Voting has been problematic on Aryntius since the dawn of time. Originally we gave players 10,000 Sigmas and a key to a mystery box. But quickly it turned into a disaster. Returning players had no reason to vote because the vast majority of the time, the box gave items well below their level. New players would very rarely get an OP item which would then trivialize the entire server for them. Thus, we have done a radical redesign of the entire voting system:
  • Voting now gives 1000 Runes instead of 3 mystery box keys.
  • Players can now use /vote or /redeem to open the Vote Exchange GUI. This menu contains unidentified items which can be exchanged for Runes.
  • Higher-tiered items are both more expensive and require higher ranks in order to be acquired, creating an incentive for returning players to vote.

MAJOR TECH CHANGES
  • Updated server to paper 1.12.2 (from spigot 1.12).
  • Updated backpacks from v1.17.1 to v2.3.21.
  • Updated Featherboard from 3.20.0 to 4.30.0
  • Changed permissions plugin to Luckperms (from PEX).
  • Changed damage indicators plugin to the custom version Pizza coded and forgot about. :^)
  • Removed MassiveCombat due to incompatability with 1.12.2.

BALANCE CHANGES

Due to the enormous size of update 3.0.0 and the sheer number of internal systems changed, we have organized the balance changes into major sections as shown below.

DROP TABLE CHANGES

Drop tables have been fully reworked from the ground up in 3.0.0.
Previously, individual drops were calculated whenever a table was assigned to a mob. Now instead the table's absolute drop rate is calculated first, then the items in the table are chosen based on their drop rates, similar to a weighted chance. This means all drops are no longer limited by the number of items in their tables and instead can be assigned differently per mob without duplicating drop tables.

The biggest change in gameplay with the drop table rework is that now drop rates for the same tier can vary wildly between zones. For example, previously the Iridescent drop chance was the same for any endgame boss and miniboss. We circumvented the low drop rates for endgame bosses by simply spawning loot explosions everywhere. Now with the reworks, we can give bosses higher drop chances AND higher drop amounts. So a boss could potentially drop 10 Iridescent items 100% of the time while still using the same drop table as a normal mob.

Thus, bosses now have their own specific drop chances and amounts in 3.0.0. These are displayed in the codex under the "Bosses" section. To balance this sudden shift in design, drop rates have been altered as shown below.

Corrupted items will no longer drop in the Trials, including the Void. However, they will still drop from N'azhrak and The Architect.
The following bosses will no longer drop Corrupted items:
  • Y'razotj the Scourge
  • Rith the Foolish/Kef the Wise
  • Ancient Sentinel
  • Fallen Hero

The following bosses will no longer drop Iridescent items:
  • Y'razotj the Scourge
  • Rith the Foolish/Kef the Wise
  • Ancient Sentinel
  • Fallen Hero
  • N'azhrak, Father of Magic
  • The Architect

The baseline droprate for Iridescent items in the endgame has been increased to 10%.
The following bosses will drop Iridescent items at a severely reduced rate (1%):
  • Hakgon the Dreamer
  • The Witch of the Wilds
  • Webmother Mavlak
  • Noryk the Unbound
  • The Spirit of the Sands
  • Brahmk the Unhinged

The following bosses will drop Iridescent items at a noticeably reduced rate (5%):
  • The King of Wraiths
  • Blade Golem
  • Azure Guardian
  • The Ruler of the Storm
  • Hulaak the Mighty

Mythic items will start disappearing earlier in order to avoid clogging up endgame drops.
The following bosses will drop Mythics at a slightly reduced rate (25%):
  • The King of Wraiths
  • Blade Golem
  • Azure Guardian
  • The Ruler of the Storm
  • Hulaak the Mighty

The following bosses will drop Mythics at a noticeably reduced rate (15%):
  • Spirit of the Phoenix
  • Petrus the Forgotten
  • The Warden
  • The Shadow of Maugri

The following bosses will no longer drop Mythic items:
  • Magmos, Lord of Ash
  • Vraast, Heir of Frost
  • The Nameless Titan
  • Realm Guardian
  • Quu'rak the Insatiable
  • Otin the Deathweaver

The drop rate of Corrupted items has been greatly increased in boss encounters, with a baseline of 10% as shown below:
  • Tier I Atlas bosses - 10% (1x drops)
  • Tier II Atlas bosses - 25% (1x drops)
  • Tier III Atlas bosses - 50% (1x drops)
  • Rifts bosses - 50% (1-2x drops)
Various other drop-table related changes are shown below:
  • Corrupted Fragments will now drop from enemies in the Void.
  • Greater Corrupted Fragments will now very infrequently drop from enemies in the Void.
  • Reduced the drop rate of Corrupted fragments in the Trial of Sorrow.
  • Unidentified chests will now use the updated MythicMobs drop tables instead of their own hardcoded tables.

LEGACY CHANGES

The Legacy Crate will no longer drop from Titans or raids. Instead, Legacy Crates will now be available to purchase from Theodore, a new NPC located in the Omniplex.

Comments: The Legacy system was poorly designed from the start and really only existed to act as a temporary endgame.
We have officially legacy'd the legacy system. :^)

The following items have been removed from the normal drop tables and can now only be acquired through the Legacy Crate or from Theodore:
  • Final Eclipse (Iridescent)
  • The Hydra (Iridescent)
  • Hydrascale Platemail (Iridescent)
  • The Chameleon (Iridescent)
  • Guardian's Armor Set (Iridescent - 4 items)
  • Juggernaut's Armor Set (Iridescent - 4 items)
  • Assassin's Armor Set (Iridescent - 4 items)
  • Bone of the Ancients (Iridescent - 9 items)

ENEMY BALANCE CHANGES
  • Tier I Atlas bosses have had their maximum health increased to 10,000 (from 7,500).
  • Tier II Atlas bosses have had their maximum health increased to 20,000 (from 12,500).
  • Tier III Atlas bosses have had their maximum health increased to 50,000 (from 30,000).
Comments: These health changes were done to smooth the scaling from the Trials to the Rifts. Specifically, it was strange how early Atlas bosses had less health than the Architect and N'azhrak yet late Atlas bosses had less than 1/3 the maximum health of any Titan.

  • Totems now last 20s (from 10s).
  • Totems are now targetable by all player attacks.
  • Totems no longer have knockback resistance.
  • Totems now proc once every 3 seconds (from once every second).
Comments: These changes should prevent players from being stunlocked and killed multiple times by Totems while also allowing for more aggressive counterplay.

Shadow Spirit (Paleon)
  • Resistance reduced to II (from IV).
  • Uncommon drop rate increased to 50% (from 35%).
Cave Dweller (Paleon)
  • Maximum health reduced to 10 (from 15).
  • Toxic Burst now fires 50% faster.
  • Toxic Burst cooldown increased to 8 seconds (from 5 seconds).
  • Toxin damage increased to 6 (from 4.5).
  • Damage now has a 2 second internal cooldown.
Comments: More players have died to the Cave Dweller than any other mob on the server. We have identified its stacking Toxin proc as the main culprit and effectively removed its ability to infinitely stack procs on players. We have also increased its cooldowns so players can spend more time beating it up than running away.

Various other mob changes are shown below:
  • Tomb Scarab (Labyrinth) movement speed reduced to +40% (from +50%).
  • Immortal Guardian (Labyrinth) movement speed reduced to +50% (from +80%).

DAMAGE OVER TIME CHANGES

We have done a universal rework of Damage over Time (DoT) this update.
Notable changes include:
  • Toxin, Bleed, and Burning now have unique tickrates, allowing them to trigger without interrupting each other. Specifically,
    • Burning damage will always tick 10x per second.
    • Toxin damage will always tick 4x per second.
    • Bleed damage will always tick 2x per second.
  • Toxin will now be displayed with its physical damage values instead of its Chaos damage values, given that it doesn't actually do Chaos.
This means some items will appear to have much higher damage in their descriptions but will actually deal identical damage to what they had before.

The following items have been altered substantially in addition to the aforementioned Toxin changes:

Thief's Pact (Unique)
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 50%).

Nightfall (Unique)
  • Now rapidly fires 4 shots during ability (total of 20 projectiles).
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 50%).

Miasma (Unique)
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 50%).
  • Cast speed increased from 2 casts/second to 5 casts/second.

Sahuvar's Mind (Unique)
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 50%).
  • Now restores 5.0 health over a period of 5.0s whenever you hit an enemy. (Effect stacks once per hit).

Dreadsinew (Unique)
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 50%).
  • Total Bleed damage increased to 2000 (from 600).

Delusion (Unique)
  • Total Toxin damage increased to 1000 (from 750).
  • Total Bleed damage increased to 100 (from 30).

Hakgon's Hysteria (Unique)
  • Total Bleed damage increased to 60 (from 15).
  • Status chance increased to 40% (from 20%).

Boundless Cruelty (Iridescent)
  • Now inflicts 500 Bleed damage over a period of 2.0s as well as its original Toxin damage.
  • Now deals 200-400 Chaos damage for each ailment inflicted (Up to 600-1200 Chaos damage from Bleed, Toxin, and Burning simultaneously).

Dragon's Will (Iridescent)
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 75%).
  • Burning damage duration reduced to 1 second (from 2.5 seconds).
  • Now deals 1000-2000 additional damage to Ignited enemies.
  • Now converts 100% of weapon damage to Chaos damage while you have Regeneration.

Venomhusk (Iridescent)
  • Status chance for Toxin increased to 85% (from 50%).
  • Status chance for Bleed increased to 50% (from 35%).
Comments: The tickrate changes for Bleed make it deal much more damage but with significantly fewer ticks. This has caused Venomhusk to lose a fair amount of its damage due to it relying on fast bleed ticks to proc other effects. We have given it a substantial status chance increase to keep its power at the level it was at before these balance changes.

Hopesunder (Corrupted)
  • No longer deals 800 to 1500 physical damage on melee hit.
  • Status chance increased to 100% (from 50%).
  • Total Toxin damage increased to 5000 (from 1500).

Annihilation (Corrupted)
  • Total Toxin damage increased to 3000 (from 1500).
  • Now gives +10.0 maximum health.

Fleshrend (Corrupted)
  • Total Bleed damage increased to 500 (from 100).

Creeping Death (Corrupted)
  • Total Bleed damage increased to 500 (from 15).

SNIPER RIFLE CHANGES

Long ago, Sniper rifles were a staple of Aryntius' endgame and defined the meta for well over a year. Unfortunately, most of them have fallen off greatly since then (with the exception of Architect's Nightmare). We have made some major adjustments and reworks to give them back their former glory, as shown below:

Architect's Nightmare (Ascended)
  • Base damage increased to 600 (from 500).
  • Critical strike chance increased to 60% (from 50%).
  • Critical strike multiplier increased to 60x (from 50x).
  • Headshot damage multiplier increased to 60x (from 50x).
  • Ammo capacity reduced to 1 (from 4).
Comments: Architect's Nightmare really doesn't need a buff. But it's getting one anyway. Do note the ammo capacity change is not a nerf but is instead intended to make the weapon feel less clunky to use. This is because the reload animation sometimes gets out of sync with the fire rate and causes an interruption in tempo. By reducing the ammo capacity to 1, the animation is never triggered during firing because it will always finish before the 2nd round is fired.

The Ram's Horn (Unique)
  • Base damage increased to 400 (from 150).
  • Headshot damage multiplier increased to 20x (from 10x).
  • Delay between shots reduced to 1.0s (from 1.5s).
  • Ammo capacity increased to 15 (from 3).
  • Reload type changed to Magazine (from Single).
  • Now has burst fire (3 shots).
Comments: The Ram's Horn is bad. Even on release it was awful. We have given it a substantial buff to give it the recognition it deserves.

Jhin's Rifle (Iridescent)
  • Delay between shots reduced to 0.75s (from 1.5s).
  • Reload time reduced to 0.4s (from 0.8s).
  • Now has 44% critical strike chance.
  • Now deals 4444x damage on critical strike.

The Slow Death (Iridescent)
  • Delay between shots reduced to 0.75s (from 1.0s).
  • Projectile speed reduced by 80%.
  • Ammo capacity increased to 10 (from 4).
  • Reload type changed to Magazine (from Single).
Comments: Turns out, the best way to buff The Slow Death's damage was just to make it even slower. Projectiles should now be slower than the default player walking speed.

The Flying Hatchet (Mythic)
  • Base damage increased to 100 (from 50).
  • Headshot damage multiplier increased to 50x (from 8x).
  • Reload type changed to Magazine (from Single).
Comments: The Flying Hatchet hasn't been touched for years. We have given it the buff it deserves to match the current difficulty scaling.

The Guillotine (Exalted)
  • Base damage increased to 60 (from 40).
  • Headshot multiplier increased to 10x (from 9x).
Comments: The Guillotine instantly became useless when a player left the labyrinth and started the trials as it was unable to one-shot even the lowest level trials enemies with a headshot. We have upped its overall damage to compensate for its lack of viability.

The Toxic Avenger (Superior)
  • Base damage reduced to 50 (from 125).
  • Ammo capacity increased to 9 (from 3).
  • Reload type changed to Magazine (from Single).
  • Now has burst fire (3 shots).
  • Now deals 3x damage on headshot.
  • Now inflicts 10 Toxin damage over a period of 2.0s.
  • No longer poisons enemies on hit.
Comments: The original version of this item was designed before Aryntius 2.2.0 and has never been touched since. It has also seen virtually 0 usage due to its total lack of Headshot damage multiplier. We have given it a drastic rework to make it both enticing for new players and a powerful option for returning players that wish to rerun the Labyrinth with a ranger loadout.

SHOTGUN CHANGES

Multi-projectile weapons like shotguns have provided far too much value despite their low risk usage due to how ranged/magic stat modifiers work.
We have reduced the projectile count or altered the loading speed of many multi-projectile weapons as shown below:

Bombard (Unique)
  • Projectile count reduced to 15 (from 25).
  • Critical strike chance increased to 40% (from 20%).

Aquir Vindicator (Unique)
  • Projectile count reduced to 8 (from 10).
  • Delay between shots increased to 1.0s (from 0.5s).
  • Ammo capacity reduced to 9 (from 15).

Brahmk's Wrath (Unique)
  • Projectile count reduced to 10 (from 16).
  • Delay between shots increased to 1.0s (from 0.75s).

Witch's Hex (Unique)
  • Projectile count reduced to 20 (from 30).
  • Now has 2% chance to Shock.
  • Now has 10% chance to Ignite.

Famine (Unique)
  • Casting type changed to Channeled (~5 casts/sec).
  • Projectile count reduced to 6 (from 30).
  • Projectile spread reduced to 1.2 blocks (from 1.8 blocks).
  • No longer gives 400-800 physical damage while you have Hunger.
  • Now gains 100% of base damage as extra Chaos damage while you have Hunger.
Comments: Famine's original design of a powerful scattershot with a long cooldown was totally circumvented by using multiple copies. We have given it a full rework to keep its power but make it no longer exploitable. Sorry, Turtle!

Flakinator (Iridescent)
  • Ammo capacity reduced to 6 (from 16).

The Reaper (Iridescent)
  • Projectile count reduced to 8 (from 16).

Coronal Ejection (Mythic)
  • Delay between shots increased to 1.0s (from 0.5s).

ASCENDED ITEM CHANGES

Ascended items were originally added as the be-all, end-all tier of items. Unfortunately, the vast majority of items in this tier fell flat and were never given any glory. We have given significant buffs to the following items as shown below:

Judgement (Ascended)
  • Strength scaling changed to 1200 damage for every 50 Strength (from 150 damage for every 20 Strength).
  • Maximum Strength scaling increased to 250 (from 200).

Singularity Herald (Ascended)
  • Renamed to Singularity Rift. Legacy versions will continue to function as before.
  • Now has a 10% chance to inflict Despair.
  • Now deals 1000 Bleed damage over a period of 1.0s when you attack an enemy affected by Despair.
  • Now deals 5000 Toxin damage over a period of 1.0s when you attack an enemy affected by Despair.

Cascades (Ascended)
  • Maximum charges increased to 50 (from 32).
  • Recharge time reduced to 3.0s (from 5.0s).

Eagle Armor Set (Ascended)
  • Chestplate
    • Damage per 10 Strength increased to 100 (from 20).
    • Maximum Strength scaling reduced to 150 (from 200).
  • Leggings
    • Chaos damage chance increased to 75% (from 35%).

Divine Armor Set (Ascended)
Set Bonus changed to Speed X + Haste X (from Regeneration X).
  • Helmet
    • Now gives +20.0 maximum health.
    • Now restores 10.0 health per second while affected by Regeneration.
  • Chestplate
    • Maximum health increased to 20.0 (from 10.0).
    • No longer gives chance to restore gold hearts.
    • Now adds 200-400 damage to melee attacks for every 50 Strength.
    • (Up to 1000-2000 additional damage from 250 Strength).
  • Leggings
    • Now gives +20.0 maximum health.
    • No longer gives Resistance from gold hearts.
    • No longer gives chance to refresh Resistance.
    • Now gives Resistance IV (Refreshes every second).
    • Now gives immunity to enemy melee attacks.
  • Boots
    • Now gives +20.0 maximum health.
    • Movement speed bonus increased to +100% (from +45%).
    • No longer gives healing per level of Strength.
    • Now gives immunity to Freeze, Slowness, and Levitation while you have Strength.

Dreamer's Armor Set (Ascended)
Set Bonus changed to "Your attacks inflict Shock" (from Set your gold hearts to 50.0 whenever you hit an enemy).
  • Helmet
    • No longer adds Chaos damage per level of Haste.
    • Now adds 50-100 physical damage to all attacks for each level of Haste (up to 500-1000 added damage).
    • Now restores 10-15% of your maximum health whenever you take damage.
  • Chestplate
    • No longer restores health when you hit an enemy.
    • Now gives Resistance IV. (Refreshes once per second).
    • Now deals 500-1000 damage to all enemies within a radius of 10 blocks when you attack.
  • Leggings
    • No longer restores health to allies.
    • Now gives Regeneration X. (Refreshes once per second).
    • Now gives 20.0 healing over a period of 2.0s whenever you take damage. (Stackable effect).
  • Boots
    • Now gives immunity to Blindness, Slowness, and Freezing.

MAGIC AURA CHANGES

Due to the high increase in enemy swarms present in 3.0.0, we have given a substantial buff to all auras as shown below:

  • All auras have had their horizontal radius increased to 3.5 (from 1.5).
  • All auras have had their forward radius increased to 5 (from 1.5).

Orb of Acceleration (Unique)
  • Now gives Speed X instead of Speed V.

RESISTANCE V CHANGES

Some older items were designed to remove Resistance without actually accounting for Resistance V. This is problematic because it can brick certain boss fights. Due to the plugins affecting them being unable to detect if a mob has said effects, we have removed the legacy Resistance removal effects and given slight buffs to replace them, as shown below:

Architect's Wisdom (Unique)
  • Base damage increased to 600-1200 (from 250-1000).
  • No longer removes Resistance with right-click ability.

The Singularity (Unique)
  • Delay between shots reduced to 0.5s (from 1.0s).
  • No longer removes Resistance on detonation.

Chaos Bolt (Corrupted)
  • No longer removes Resistance on hit.
  • No longer gives enemies positive effects on hit.
  • Now Silences enemies on hit.
  • Now Curses the player while held (Refreshes every second).

Orb of Chaos (Corrupted)
  • No longer removes Resistance from you if you have Resistance V.
  • This is a buff. :^)

Lithaan's Remorse (Corrupted)
  • No longer removes Resistance on hit.
  • No longer removes Resistance from wielder.
  • Now has 100% chance to Silence enemies on hit.
  • Now deals 2000 Chaos damage to Silenced enemies.
  • Now Silences the wielder when held.

OTHER ITEM BALANCE CHANGES

The rest of the balance changes/reworks for update 3.0.0 can be found below:

Molten Strike (Unique)
  • Internal projectile cooldown reduced to 0.1s (from 0.25s).

Infernal Rage (Unique)
  • Now converts 20% of item's damage to Chaos damage while you are holding an axe.

Wraithbane (Unique)
  • Chaos damage per 50 Strength increased to 60 (from 15).

Tasty Shrub (Iridescent)
  • Maximum Strength scaling increased to 250 (from 200).

Skullsmasher (Iridescent)
  • Area attack multiplier increased to 250% (from 150%).

Crimson Echoes (Iridescent)
  • No longer gives additional physical melee damage.
  • Now deals 1000 Bleed damage over a period of 2.0 seconds with all melee attacks.

Divine Favor (Iridescent)
  • Restoration per second while blocking increased to 100% of your maximum health (from 20%).

The Fortress (Iridescent)
  • Now restores 20% of your maximum health over a period of 2.0s whenever you take damage. (Stackable effect).

Eye of the Void (Iridescent)
  • Now adds 15-35 Chaos damage to all attacks (from 25).
  • Now deals 8.0x damage against enemies affected by Despair.

Titan's Heart (Iridescent)
  • No longer gives maximum health.
  • Now gives +100% movement speed.
  • Melee damage increased to 1000-1500 (from 150-500).
  • Restoration increased to 15% of your maximum health (from 10%).

Void Pact (Iridescent)
  • Healing cooldown has been removed. The effect now stacks once per hit.
  • Tier changed to Corrupted.
    • Legacy versions will cease to function.

Unending Solstice (Iridescent)
  • Ranged Chaos damage increased to 50 (from 40).
  • Melee Chaos damage increased to 250 (from 120).

Sniper Scope (Iridescent)
  • Chaos damage increased to 2000 (from 600).
  • Cooldown reduced to 2 seconds (from 5 seconds).
  • Now adds 200-400 damage to ranged/magic attacks.
Comments: The Sniper Scope has never seen much use due to better options existing. We have given it a sizable buff to encourage players to seek the slower playstyle it is designed around.

Force of Nature (Iridescent)
  • Now gives +10.0 maximum health.
  • Added elemental damage per effect increased to 350-500 (from 150-300).

The Survivor (Iridescent)
  • Melee damage increased to 1000-2000 (from 250-1000).
  • Melee damage now only applies to axes.

The Hawk's Eye (Iridescent)
  • Ranged damage with bows increased to 600-1200 (from 500-1000).

Pile of Pants (Iridescent)
  • Unarmed damage increased to 1500-2500 (from 1000-2000).
  • Status chance increased to 20% (from 10%).

Shadowheart (Iridescent)
  • Tier changed to Corrupted.
    • Legacy versions will continue to function unchanged.
Comments: Shadowheart has a very strong effect in return for an interesting tradeoff. How this wasn't classified as a Corrupted item in the first place beats me. Lol.

Act of Mercy (Iridescent)
  • No longer inflicts Bleed damage.
  • Now gives Resistance IV (Refreshes every second).
  • Now gives Resistance V for 5.0s when your current health falls below 10.0. (Cooldown: 20.0s)

Phoenix Heart (Iridescent)
  • Strength levels gained on hit increased to 150-250 (from 100-200).

Ring of Blades (Iridescent)
  • Projectile volleys reduced to 3 (from 4).
  • Projectiles no longer deal 75 Chaos damage on hit.
  • Projectiles now deal 500 Bleed damage over 1.0s on hit.
  • Projectile volleys are now 50% faster.
Comments: Thematically, Ring of Blades makes a lot more sense as a bleed inflicting item given its description is about gladitorial combat. Combine this with a pretty significant buff and now it is a solid item for its tier.

Thrunn of Looys (Iridescent)
  • Base damage increased to 250 Chaos (from 100 Chaos).
  • Damage now applies with all attacks (previously only melee attacks).
Comments: :^)

The Art of War (Iridescent)
  • Damage per level of Resistance increased to 150 (from 100).
Comments: Due to the Resistance changes in 2.9.0, The Art of War is no longer as strong as it used to be due to permanent Resistance V being unobtainable. We have thus increased its damage to compensate.

The Inquisitor (Iridescent)
  • No longer gives maximum health.
  • Movement speed bonus increased to 50% (from 25%).
  • Now gives immunity to Weakness.
  • Now shocks enemies you ignite.
  • Chance to gain gold hearts on taking damage increased to 100% (from 10%).
  • Gold hearts gained per damage taken reduced to 20 (from 40).

Unceasing Rampage (Iridescent)
  • Enchantments changed to Protection XX (from Protection X, Blast Protection X, Projectile Protection X).
  • No longer adds 50 Chaos damage to attacks while you have Regeneration.
  • Now adds 10 Chaos damage to attacks for each level of Regeneration (Up to 100 Chaos damage from Regen. X).

Sparrowhawk (Iridescent)
  • Ranged damage with bows increased to 500-1000 (from 250-500).

The Marauder (Iridescent)
  • Now gives +10.0 maximum health.

Fate's Touch (Corrupted)
  • Base damage increased to 2000-4000 (from 2000).

Shield of Madness (Corrupted)
  • Status chance increased to 50% (from 20%).

Entropy (Corrupted)
  • Chaos damage increased to 250 (from 100).
  • Chaos damage no longer applies to ranged/magic attacks.
  • Self damage reduced to 100 (from 250).
  • Now gives +20.0 maximum health.

Death's Hand (Corrupted)
  • Now gives +30.0 maximum health.
  • Chaos damage increased to 5000 (from 1500).
Comments: Death's Hand has always struggled to compete in the off hand slot, especially because it has 2 downsides instead of 1. We have given it a sizable buff to make it a more viable endgame option.

Thunderwing (Corrupted)
  • No longer gives chance to Shock.
  • Now gains 15% of item's base damage as Chaos damage while you have 200 or more Strength.
  • Now deals triple damage with melee attacks.

Eye of the Eldritch (Corrupted)
  • Chaos damage increased to 100-150 (from 80-120).
  • Now restores 5.0-10.0 health when you hit an enemy affected by Despair.
  • No longer removes Haste.
Comments: Further testing has concluded that Eye of the Eldritch isn't actually that OP and that it was an unfortunate victim of the Bastion meta nerfs. We have also given it a slight buff to give it some utility.

Warbringer (Corrupted)
  • No longer gives Strength.
  • Chaos damage per 10 Strength increased to 10 (from 5).
  • Maximum Strength scaling increased to 250 (from 200).
  • Now restores 5.0 health over a period of 5.0s whenever you hit an enemy. (Stackable effect).

Imperfection (Corrupted)
  • Melee damage increased to 4000 (from 2500).
  • Now gives +15.0 maximum health.

The Gryphon (Corrupted)
  • Melee damage increased to 1000-2000 (from 800-1600).

The Maverick (Corrupted)
  • Chaos damage per negative effect increased to 80 (from 35).
Comments: The previous nerf from 100 to 35 Chaos damage per effect was too severe so we have bumped up its damage to make it worthwhile to run again.

Inoculation (Corrupted)
  • Maximum health increased to 30.0 (from 20.0).
  • Healing increased to 30% of maximum health (from 20%).

Shadowmail (Corrupted)
  • Chaos damage increased to 50-80 (from 50).
  • Now deals double damage with melee attacks.
  • No longer deals Chaos damage to the player on attack.
  • Now deals 50 Physical damage to the player for each level of Resistance on attack. (Up to 250 damage at Resistance V).
Comments: Shadowmail has always been significantly weaker than other corrupted items in exchange for a downside that wasn't really that bad. This was mostly due to Chaos damage being significantly deadlier to midgame players than endgame players, making its self damage difficult to balance around. We have given it a hefty rework to make it a far more flexible item.

Warrior's Crest (Mythic)
  • Maximum Strength scaling increased to 250 (from 200).

Horned Helmet (Mythic)
  • Added melee damage increased to 100-200 (from 25-75).

Blighted Tunic (Mythic)
  • Now adds 30 Chaos damage to all attacks (from 10 ranged, 20 melee).
  • Now deals double damage against enemies affected by Despair.

Hatemail (Mythic)
  • Added damage increased to 90-200 (from 50-100).

Frostwraith Platemail (Mythic)
  • Added damage increased to 90-200 (from 50-100).

Studded Skirt (Mythic)
  • Added damage increased to 50-100 (from 25-75).

Ragelust (Mythic)
  • Movement speed bonus increased to +50% (from -50%).

Mountainstride (Mythic)
  • Movement speed bonus increased to +50% (from -80%).

Elemental Amplifier (Superior)
  • Status chance reduced to 10% (from 20%).
  • No longer inflicts Shock.

OTHER CHANGES
  • Greatly improved titles/subtitles displayed when you enter zones.
  • The Labyrinth now displays which floor you are on when you enter/exit a portal.
  • Finally updated the difficulty holograms in the Trials.
  • Key fragments from the Trials can now be crafted into the Void Key by right-clicking and interacting with a new GUI.
  • All summoned allies are now immune to knockback.
  • The Crypt entrance in Paleon has been sealed in order to avoid confusing new players and will now house a large casket instead.
  • Added a portal to the Trials in Caeron.
  • Moved the elevator in Caeron to the center of the tower.
  • Added a second staircase in Selthine that leads directly towards the mines.
  • Reworked/streamlined all elevator holograms.
  • Rephrased all instances of "Adds X damage to all melee attacks" to "Deals X damage" on melee weapons due to the redundancy of said phrasing.
  • Changed the sound of gold hearts refreshing to the enderpearl pop sound. Gold heart builds should feel a lot less obnoxious now.
  • Gave a makeover to the following bosses:
    • Noryk the Unbound
    • The King of Wraiths
    • Azure Guardian
    • Hulaak the Mighty
    • Petrus the Forgotten
    • Izenryl the Abyss Lord
  • Rith the Foolish and Kef the Wise can no longer attack each other. This is a buff.

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed Orb of Acceleration not giving speed properly.
  • Fixed Sparrowhawk not giving movement speed while equipped.
  • Fixed the Seal of Creation encounter not spawning Shock or Ignite totems.
  • Fixed the Ignite totem not displaying titles to players it has ignited.
