ARYNTIUS LEGACY - CONTENT UPDATE 2.8.0 - The Less Rippy Update

This is a small content update that also contains major reworks and a few system changes. The main goal of it was to take the first step in streamlining the player experience against "spike damage", e.g. damage that comes out of nowhere and practically one-shots the player. We've identfified the main cause as loss of Resistance and have adjusted it accordingly.

MAJOR CHANGES

Curse
  • No longer removes Resistance from entities. (This includes players!)
Shock
  • No longer gives Speed and Haste.
  • No longer affects entities with Resistance V. (This includes players!)
  • Now inflicts Glowing.
The "Shock does not inflict Speed" modifier has been removed. Items that used it have been buffed to compensate.

NEW STUFF

Brought Cascades back from the dead, with some cool buffs.
  • Base damage increased to 400.0 (from 250.0).
  • Cast speed increased by 150% (from 2 casts per second to 5 casts per second).
  • Maximum charges increased to 32 (from 8).
  • Tier increased to Ascended.
It will now drop from N'azhrak, as it did before, but with an extremely low chance.

ITEM CHANGES

Thunderbolt (Unique)
  • "Shock does not inflict Speed" modifier has been removed.
  • Now deals 800.0-2000.0 damage to Shocked enemies.
Stratocumulus (Unique)
  • Projectile count reduced to 4 (from 5).
  • No longer inflicts Shock on hit.
  • Maximum spread increased to 0.4 blocks (from 0.25)
  • Now has 50% critical strike chance.
  • Now deals 5.0x damage on critical hit.
Subjugation (Unique)
  • Now deals 600.0-900.0 additional melee damage to Frozen enemies.
Rebirth (Unique)
  • Base damage increased to 600.0-800.0 (from 350.0-500.0).
  • Chaos per level of Haste increased to 5.0 (from 2.0) up to a maximum of 50.0 (from 20.0).
  • Chaos per level of Speed increased to 5.0 (from 2.0) up to a maximum of 50.0 (from 20.0).
Mountain Cleaver (Unique)
  • Now adds 1000.0 chaos damage to your next melee attack once every 2.0 seconds.
Runeleaf Scythe (Unique)
  • Now adds 400.0-600.0 damage to all melee attacks.
Aquir Justicar (Unique)
  • Enchantments reworked.
  • Ability now inflicts Freeze on hit for 5.0s.
  • Now deals 350.0-500.0 additional melee damage to Frozen enemies.
Inferno (Unique)
  • Cooldown reduced to 5.0s (from 10.0s).
Seeds of the Sun (Unique)
  • Cast Speed increased by 100%.
  • Maximum charges increased to 10 (from 3).
Singularity (Unique)
  • Maximum ammo reduced to 25 (from 40).
Comments: Our Singularity rework was very successful, but proved to be a bit TOO successful. We have dialed back its enormous ammo capacity to make its slow reload downside more evident and to encourage players to use better items in the endgame.

Divine Platelegs (Ascended)
  • Maximum resistance is now capped at 4 (instead of 5).
Obliteration (Iridescent)
  • Maximum ammo reduced to 50 (from 100).
  • Maximum spread increased to 2.0 blocks (from 0.8 blocks)
  • Crouched spread increased to 0.8 blocks (from 0.15 blocks).
  • Reload time increased to 2.5 seconds (from 2 seconds).
  • Drop rate reduced to 0.05% (from 0.1%)
Comments: Obliteration is miles above all other ranged weapons in practically every aspect, allowing players to kill virtually anything in one magazine. We still would like to keep its identity and design of being a powerful barrage weapon, so its projectile count and burst fire will remain unchanged. Instead, a big hit to its other attributes was done to bring it in line with similar endgame weapons, particularly its spread so it won't be as powerful at long ranges.

The Bastion (Iridescent)
  • Now removes Jump Boost while equipped. This affects all versions of the item.
Death's Harp (Iridescent)
  • Cast speed increased by 100%.
  • Projectile speed increased by 50%.
  • Now has burst fire (3 charges).
Sniper Scope (Iridescent)
  • Drop rate increased to 0.2% (from 0.05%)
Eternal Catalyst (Iridescent)
  • Drop rate increased to 0.2% (from 0.05%)
Dragon's Tear (Iridescent)
  • Now shows Fire Resistance stat.
  • Drop rate increased to 0.2% (from 0.1%).
The Flood (Iridescent)
  • Drop rate increased to 0.1% (from 0.05%).
The Hydra (Iridescent)
  • Drop rate increased to 0.1% (from 0.05%).
Thunderclap (Mythic)
  • Shock chance reduced to 10% (from 15%).
  • Maximum spread reduced to 0.4 blocks (from 0.5 blocks).
  • Tier increased to Iridescent.
Comments: Thunderclap is extremely powerful, perhaps in the top 10 weapons on the server. We have increased its tier and lightly adjusted its stats to mirror this.

Conquest (Mythic)
  • Base damage reduced to 15.0 (from 120.0)
  • Extra damage per effect reduced to 200.0-350.0 (from 250.0-1000.0).
Comments: Like Thunderclap, Conquest was very strong, though nowhere as broken. We have reduced its damage to make it fit into its own tier better.

Occam's Razor (Mythic)
  • Now deals 150.0-400.0 additonal melee damage.

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed Spinal Tap (Mythic) displaying its tier as Exalted. This is a visual bug and does not affect drop rates.
  • Fixed Occam's Razor (Mythic) displaying its tier as Exalted. This is a visual bug and does not affect drop rates.
  • Fixed Y'razotj using the old version of Ignite which still blinded players.
  • Fixed Y'razotj attempting (and generally failing) to teleport to players through walls.
