ARYNTIUS LEGACY - CONTENT UPDATE 2.6.0

This moderately-sized content update adds some new iridescent items, the original auras from Aryntius' past, some notable buffs to existing items, and some boss balance changes to top it all off.

NEW CONTENT
We have added 7 brand new items this update, 5 of which are Iridescent.
Like all previous Iridescent items, they can be obtained from rare boss/miniboss drops, Junk Trader spins, or Forgotten Reliquary Chests.
  • Shadowheart (Iridescent)
    • Armor - Chestpiece
    • +20.0 maximum health.
    • Enemies within 10 blocks of you cannot have Resistance.
    • You cannot have Gold Hearts.
  • Facebreaker (Iridescent)
    • Off-Hand Accessory - Shield
    • Adds 250.0 to 6000.0 damage to all melee attacks while unarmed.
    • 30% chance to deal 900% increased base damage with unarmed attacks.
    • You have Resistance IV while blocking.
  • Flakinator (Iridescent)
    • Weapon - Ranged - Scattergun
    • Base Damage: 90.0
    • Projectiles: 10
    • Speed: Very Fast
    • Burst Fire (2 shots).
    • 20% critical strike chance.
    • 8.0x critical strike multiplier.
    • Crouching focuses shots and reduces recoil.
  • Skullsmasher (Iridescent)
    • Weapon - Melee - Axe
    • Deals 500.0 to 1000.0 base damage.
    • Attacks with this weapon also hit enemies in a radius of 10 blocks for 400% of the base damage.
    • Gain 200 Strength for up to 10.0 seconds whenever you attack.
    • This weapon's Area of effect attacks cannot inflict status effects or gain damage bonuses.
  • Voidspire (Iridescent)
    • Weapon - Melee - Sword
    • Adds 500.0 to 1000.0 base damage.
    • 100% of base damage converted to Chaos damage while you have Strength or Haste.
  • Hellspire (Mythic)
    • Weapon - Melee - Sword
    • Adds 200.0 to 500.0 base damage.
    • 50% of base damage converted to Chaos damage while you have Strength or Haste.
  • Deathspire (Exalted)
    • Weapon - Melee - Sword
    • Adds 100.0 to 250.0 base damage.
    • 20% of base damage converted to Chaos damage while you have Strength or Haste.

We have also re-added the 4 original auras from before Update 2.2:
  • Orb of Cinder
  • Orb of Dunes
  • Orb of Frost
  • Orb of Acceleration
Instead of re-tiering them to fit in with the modern rarity system, we have left them untouched with their original Legendary tier designation. They are now available to purchase for 128 Star Fragments each from Fladnag, the wizard NPC in Caeron.

BALANCE CHANGES
The following mobs/bosses have been altered:
  • Izenryl
    • Maximum health increased to 180,000 (from 125,000).
    • Resistance can now be removed but regenerates once every 15 seconds.
  • Primordial Guardian
    • Maximum health increased to 60,000 (from 50,000).
    • Resistance can now be removed and cannot be regenerated.
Comments: Both Izenryl and the Primordial Guardians have long been dreaded due to both their high difficulty and their status immunities. However, this was not conveyed well to players and instead confused them as their resistance removing loadouts appeared to randomly stop working when fighting them. These changes should make behavior far more consistent.

The following items have been altered/reworked:
  • Whole Hog (Iridescent)
    • Ammo type changed to Iron Ingot (from Iron Nugget)
    • Ammo is now taken as magazine instead of per individual shot.
  • The Scorpion (Unique)
    • Ammo is now taken as magazine instead of per individual shot.
  • Stormhowl (Iridescent)
    • Drop rate increased by 100%.
Comments: Stormhowl has rarely seen usage despite being quite powerful. This is most likely due to its absurdly low drop rate (0.2%) and its chestplate slot often being dropped in favor of Forgeheart. We have decided to double its drop rate in order to encourage players to experiment with it more.
  • Architect's Intuition (Unique)
    • Projectile spread has been removed.
    • Projectile speed increased by 50%.
    • Fire rate increased by 10%.
    • Ammo type changed to Iron Ingot (from Iron Nugget)
    • Ammo is now taken as magazine instead of per individual shot.
    • Ammo capacity increased to 12 (from 8).
    • Reload time decreased to 1.0 second (from 2.0 seconds).
    • Critical strike multiplier increased to 25.0 (from 5.0)
Comments: Architect's Intuition was notoriously lousy, even when it was first released. This was due to a unique combination of poor quality-of-life, low overall DPS, and awful ammo economy. We have corrected all of these while still keeping its original identity as a slow but heavy-hitting rifle with a difficult-to-land projectile.
  • Architect's Wisdom (Unique)
    • Now adds 250.0 to 1000.0 melee damage to all attacks.
    • Ability no longer inflicts Blindness or Confusion.
    • Ability now removes enemy Resistance.
Comments: Architect's Wisdom has always been one of the weaker drops from the boss. We have given it significant buffs to make it feel worthwhile to obtain for both players new and old.

BUG FIXES
  • Fixed The Scorpion (Unique) still displaying its old speed (Fast) on its item card. New copies of the item should now display the proper speed (Average).
 
HOTFIX 2.6.0a
  • Fixed anticheat triggering when auras hit multiple enemies simultaneously.
